Join us May 23-24 2026, for a weekend deep dive into permaculture!

We’ll cover the basics, the theory and the fundamental elements of permaculture design. If you’ve ever wanted to learn about permaculture but haven’t wanted or been able to do the full 72-hour Permaculture Design Certificate, this is the perfect pay-what-you-can weekend-length opportunity.

We’ve established this course to be absolutely Pay What You Can. This means we won’t turn anyone away for lack of funds or because they haven’t met a particular number we have in mind. Of course, we understand that sometimes PWYC scenarios make people uncomfortable. If you’re more comfortable with a concrete number and you can afford it, the value of this course is $150-300. Any additional funds will go to keeping spaces open for those who aren’t currently able to afford our programming.

FAQs

  1. What are the start and end times for this course?
The class hours are 9am-5pm for both days. Each day you’ll arrive at 8:45am to settle in before class and we will try to finish promptly at or around 5pm.
  2. Will there be breaks throughout the day?
Yes. We’ll have a one hour lunch break as well as 2 15-minute breaks throughout the day.
  3. What do you mean Pay What You Can?
So many aspects of our educational system is inaccessible to a large portion of our population. We’re trying to mitigate this by offering a permaculture program that creates accessibility while also recognizing and compensating the time, energy, and experience of our teachers. We hope that students who are able to pay the full or even an additional amount will do so with the knowledge that they’re assisting us in helping others in our community access what may not otherwise be available.
  4. Can I come for just one of the days?
Thanks for asking. In order to maintain the container of the class, we ask that all who sign up do so for the entirety of the weekend, not just a portion. In the future, we will have other opportunities that may work better with your schedule. Just keep an eye on our newsletter.
  5. Can I sleepover to save me the commute?
Yes. Once you’ve registered, hit reply to the confirmation email in your inbox and let us know. We can set you up with a campsite though you will need to bring your tent and anything you might need to be comfortable.
  6. What if I have another question?
No worries, friend. Just email us at michael@threeacrepermaculture.com and we’ll be happy to help.
